I realize one would have to look inside to find the answer but thought I would ask first before going any further. Is it possible it came from Fender this way (since it is a 2002)? I suspect someone just switched the body or added the neck plate and tremelo to the original body. All the research I have done indicates a 6 screw tremelo and an blank neck plate for both small and large headstock versions. They further stated that sometimes they came from Fender that way. I asked the store if the neck and body were from the same guitar and they told me yes.
2002 FENDER HIGHWAY ONE STRATOCASTER SERIES
Si est buscando el mejor valor en la artesana tradicional estadounidense de Fender y su distintivo sonido de rock, la Highway One Series Stratocaster es el mejor lugar para comenzar. The Highway One Stratocaster guitar features three classic single-coil pickups with a synchronized tremolo and. Some of the more modern Strats are 9.5 with a few select models having a compound neck radius. The Highway One Stratocaster is highlighted with its own unique Highway One finish a high resonance, low gloss, satin lacquer topcoat that lets the tone ring out of the alder body and sustain for days. Most vintage Fender Strats were usually 7.5 radius. Has a 12 inch radius this is a flatter fretboard that is not common on a Stratocaster. Two potential issue I have is that I noticed the tremelo was a two point instead of the 6 screw vintage type and the neck plate was not blank (looked like the American Standard). 2002 Fender Stratocaster Highway One en buenas condiciones de uso. 2002 Fender American Stratocaster natural gloss finish with Tortoise pick guard and maple neck. The guitar appeared to have been well cared for with just a few scratches and clean looking frets. While shopping for a used American made Stratocaster I visited a local store and found what was represented to be a 2002 Highway one (black or very dark brown in color).
